Building a Governed AI Agent Architecture with MuleSoft

A leading banking and payments technology company in North America partnered with ProwessSoft to assess its enterprise integration landscape and develop a roadmap for AI-driven automation. The engagement reviewed 25 production MuleSoft applications across nine connected enterprise systems, showing opportunities to strengthen API governance, security, and integration reliability. 

ProwessSoft validated an MCP-based integration in the development environment and designed a three-stage Lighthouse Architecture that progresses from governed AI tool access to intelligent agent brokering and multi-agent orchestration. The roadmap sets up a reusable foundation for future automation across finance, HR, CRM, and IT operations while using existing MuleSoft investments.
